Self Care isn't Selfish

This blog post is dedicated to the nurses, the mothers, and the caretakers who deserve way more thanks than one week or day out of the year. If you are one of those people thank you.

As we celebrate some of the most selfless people on the planet this week it is not lost on us that those wonderful people might be in need of some self care. This blog post is dedicated to the nurses, the mothers, and the caretakers who deserve way more thanks than one week or day out of the year. If you are one of those people thank you. If not, take time this week to remind them that while taking care of others is important, self care isn't selfish. Listed are a few ways you can take time out of your day to promote personal health and well being.

Wake Up Earlier

There's just something about waking up with the world. Letting the first inklings of light gently stir your sleep. The sounds of the birds (and if you're in Florida the insects) charm your eyes open. You are waking up FOR your day and taking ownership of those first moments.

Make Time for Yourself

Make yourself a priority each day, doing something that is not necessarily on your to- do list. Try a DIY face mask, take a nap, enjoy a fun evening out, or simply stop to smell the roses (Jasmine is in bloom here right now and it is off the charts smell good).

Cheers

Get Moving
